This narrative piece features a rare mid 19th century Odd Fellows medal. The early fraternal medal is fraught with imagery, including the all knowing eye, an open bible, an hour glass, a bundle of sticks, an open palm with a heart on it, and the linked rings with F, L, and T symbolizing friendship, love, and trust. Strung on a Sterling chain with Chalcedony faceted oval beads and a sterling toggle clasp.
The second piece is composed of a Brass 1945 Belgian WWII medal with a artful figurative image of a woman with her draped arms extended over a background of international flags. This striking piece is constructed of aged Brass chain and hook clasp with faceted Aventurine rondelles.
That odd fellows medal blows my mind!!!
