Blue Ribbon Salvage is the result of a nearly 15 year collection of antique medals and findings. Each is a tiny work of art unto itself full of imagery and history. I gravitate towards reliefs of pugilists, archers, mothers, typists, birds, stags, saints, sinners, instruments, anchors, bees, goddesses, heroes, shoes, crossbows, divers, airplanes, cows, rabbits, acorns, baptismal scenes… ok just about anything.
My collection has found a new life as wearable artwork . Oddly enough it seems that each piece has a way of finding itself in the hand of the perfect wearer… I don’t really know how to describe it other than to say these are very specific pieces for very specific people.
I love getting feedback and custom orders. I have hundreds of medals and carry a variety of imagery… please let me know what interests you! If you are interested in anything you see on the site please let me know.
hey melissa,

Hi Melissa,
We met at a craft fair in Petalume shortly before X-mas. I was there with Amy critchett, you know her so maybe you remember. I got a few business cards & just now found time to have a look at your website. I like your work very much.
If you would like me to, I could find some time in the near future to see if there are some shops here in Amsterdam that might me interested in your work. Please let me know if you would me to do that. I will put the link to your website on my facebook.
Best wishes!!
Michele
